Psalms 21

Praise for Deliverance.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, in Your strength the king will abe glad,
And in Your
Or victory
salvation how greatly he will rejoice!
2You have cgiven him his heart’s desire,
And You have not withheld the request of his lips.
Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude
Selah.
3For You emeet him with the blessings of good things;
You set a fcrown of fine gold on his head.
4He asked life of You,
You ggave it to him,
hLength of days forever and ever.
5His iglory is great through Your
Or victory
salvation,
kSplendor and majesty You place upon him.
6For You make him
Lit blessings
most mblessed forever;
You make him joyful nwith gladness in Your presence.

7For the king otrusts in the Lord,
And through the lovingkindness of the Most High phe will not be shaken.
8Your hand will qfind out all your enemies;
Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
9You will make them ras a fiery oven in the time
Or of your presence
of your anger;
The Lord will tswallow them up in His wrath,
And ufire will devour them.
10Their
Lit fruit
offspring You will destroy from the earth,
And their
Lit seed
,
xdescendants from among the sons of men.
11Though they
Lit stretched out
,
zintended evil against You
And aadevised a plot,
They will not succeed.
12For You will abmake them turn their back;
You will
Lit make ready
aim adwith Your bowstrings at their faces.
13Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength;
We will aesing and praise Your power.
